Using AT commands to secure a Bluno connection

I did a lot of reading today concerning secure bluetooth communications, and I feel the Bluno offers secure services with the following AT commands, however I am unable to pair to my device using the MAC address I provided via the AT command using the Arduino serial monitor. I tried on two different Bluno's and got the same results. It may be noted that I upgraded both devices to the latest Bluno firmware images of 1.9.4 provided by the Github repo. Also I tried pairing the Bluno's to an iPod Touch 5G, and I set the MAC address in the Bluno to that of the Bluetooth MAC address of the iPod Touch, and then I specified unique only connections, however I was unable to get my unique device to pair :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a log of an iOS device trying to connect to a Bluno that has been locked down using the AT commands unique and bind.

Please let me know if this is a flaw with the firmware, or if this is just iOS device issue. However I really need this to work with iOS devices, and preferably in the locked down mode / state. Any help would be appreciated.

2015-07-10 21:26:53 Hi Chris,
How are you going?
I am very curious about how did you connect the device? This is a short video about connection DEMO.
What is about turn off the "bind function"?

2015-03-21 12:18:10 For some reason the iOS device is unable to connect to the Bluno for the following reasons,

Mar 20 15:13:26 hank BTServer[130]: ATT Failed to set MTU to 158 with result BM3 STATUS 14
Mar 20 15:13:26 hank BTServer[130]: ATT Aborting command as device "UUID" is no longer connected

This is the log I pulled from the iOS device.

2015-03-21 10:45:59 So far I haven't had much luck with FW 1.8.4 either :'( Can you confirm the bind / unique commands work on your end with an iOS device? userHeadPic ipatch
