URM14-RS485 SEN0358 Always reads 65535 in distance register

Hello,

I connected the sensor to a PC with a RS485-USB adapter. The communication is ok but the distance register only reads 65535 no matter how I move the sensor or what I place under it. The temperature does change. Here are screenshots. 

Let me know if you have any suggestions.
