I'm making the LCD shield from the protel schematic:

Pretty straight forward, but what's the full part number for Q1? It just says "9013".. is it "SS9013"?

I came across another schematic from another design, and they used a BC548B.. basically the same as the 9013.. they both have a 500mA Collector Current. The SS9013's a Fairchild product, so pretty sure my local shop carries it.. if not both.
