USB host shield cannot detect Motorola Xoom

The USB host shield I bought from DFRobot cannot detect Motorola Xoom tablet but is able to detect flash drive, cameras, mouse etc. I only managed to detect Motorola Xoom once and couldn't connect to the host shield since then. Other devices are ok tho.
Has anyone encountered similar problem and any solutions?

I managed to connect to Motorola Xoom by wiring the rest pin of the USB host to one of the reset output pin specified in max3421e.cpp.
