SHT20 I2C temperature & humidity sensor - location for best results?

Hello all,

I am currently developing a drive-by environmental sensing platform and we are using the humidity / temperature sensor in this device.

my question is how much of the sensor should be exposed to generate the best results. If see picture attached is what we have it at the moment, but wondering people thoughts, does it need to be as far out as we have it?
