DFR0580 12V Solar Controller

I would like to know more about the solar controller DFR0580.
1. What size 12V SLA batteries can be connected? I intend to use somewhere between a 1.2-2.5ahr battery as my loads are usually small
2. If using ACDC adapter and a small battery, say 2.5ahr SLA, do you need such a large (65W) power supply, will a 24W power supply suffice?
3. I have no USB loads, all loads would be connected to OUT2, is this okay?
4. Temperature limitations, specs say -40 to +85oC, but notes also mention long term operation and excessive temperature - what level is a "excessive temperature"?
5. What is the expected lifetime for operation between -10 to +50oC?
