Arduino D1 and DFPlayer

1. My DFPlayer works perfectly while connected to Aduino Uno, but doesn't work when connected to Arduino D1 (IOT with ESP8266). Ii compiles and runs, Even writes to Serial, but doesn't play.
2. Can you help me with downloading files (MP3 or any media file) and storing on the DFPlayer through Arduino D1 (wifi)

1. What is the chip of arduino D1? or saying what is the board, uno? leonardo or what others?
2. I don't think arduino can process large data, like download files... and the fatal reason is the DFplayer don't support to write into SD module. Leff
