How To Extend BLUNO's BLE Range

On the product wiki page, it states that the BLUNO's BLE can go like up to 70m.
But from what I tested, the range is only like about 10m - 15m.
How do I extend the range please?

2014-06-03 22:03:27 I went to the same open space again just now to test the BLUNO's range. Holy crap!! Its like half or quarter of the field!!!

2014-06-03 21:30:30 Every barrier like wall will affect the signal intensity.
It is a PCB antenna now.
Unfortunately I didn't find a proper antenna, which is easy to be soldered and fixed.

2014-06-03 19:36:48 Laugh! Perhaps my judgement was wrong and I exaggerated a little bit. Maybe half or slightly more than a quarter of a football field sounds more realistic?
Does it matter if I put the BLUNO inside a casing like a small empty box because they are many components connected to it other than the shields?
Would you able to show us how do you solder the antenna on the board? I can do some soldering. I 'used' to solder a lot like 3 - 4 years ago. haha ~

2014-06-03 19:16:24 A football field range? Wow, it is so long!
Yeah, sometime these will affect the communication distance, but it should not be a main factor.
The terrain is very important. Could you choose a high elevation as the testing place? And the best idea is in an aisle. which is narrow slender. It will enhance signal distance.

2014-06-03 17:42:19 Hi Park,
I've tried that but I dun see any effect.
Grey,
I went to open space yesterday with a BLUNO CENTRAL and PERIPHERAL. Once the BLEs are connected I moved a little bit further but the range is worst as compared to when I am in the office.
On the other hand, I tested another beacon and my phone as CENTRAL. The range was like about a football field range which I was surprised although it has the same range as the BLUNO when I am in the office. But the beacon was not connected to my PERIPHERAL. However, after a few minutes, the beacon's range in open space became like the BLUNO which was like less than 10 metres.
Why is that so ya? Is it affected by the weather? Is it affected by I dunno the sunlight wavelength or something?

2014-06-02 18:48:26 You can change txpower by AT command.
Did you check it if set as max power(4)?

2014-05-31 02:15:38 The antenna should be compatible with 2.4G communication frequency.
It is easy to get one, but there will be problem, it is not very easy to solder it on the board.

2014-05-30 19:49:13 Hi visualxl
70m is in free space distance.
The efficient distance will be interfered by other factors inside.
If you want to enhance you signal, it is better to solder an external antenna.
