Vortex and Wifi for IoT

Hi there,
Vortex looks like a great product for my kids, however their dad (me) would also like to use it as a platform for learning and experimenting with the Internet of Things. I understand Vortex comes with an I2C socket to expand it with sensors, would it in theory be possible to use this socket as well for a WiFi module? Is it then still possible to expand Vortex with additional sensors? Any suggestions how to make this work are welcome!
Kind regards,

Sorry, the Vortex cant use I2C socket as well for a WiFi module, but it has a “Maker mode” where you can connect additional sensors via its IIC/IWC interface.
