Romeo V2.2- Motors cause significant noise Xbee sensors

Hello,
I'm using XBee S1's to communicate data between two Baron 4wd's with Romeo V2.2 R3 boards. I've been working hard on the XBee configurations in order to have consistent delays between the communication. My set up works great when I run test code without turning the wheel motors on, with a consistent time between Rx's and a small deviation from the average time. However, when I run the code with the motors on, I get a significant amount of random delays, sometimes as much as 10x the average delay. I've also had issues with other sensors, such as a digital accelerometer, where the data is consistent and good with the motors off but all over the place and unusable with the motors on.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Rebecca

2016-06-01 22:22:26 Hi Bex,
May I confrim that once you enables the wheels to run, all the other parts like (Xbee communication, sensor value...) got problem, or they works perfect?
If so, may I have a look at your code to run the motor? Thx
