Romeo BLE + 4WD Pirate Platform + 7.4v Lipo Battery ->Resets

I have the following combination that should well fit together, but I have problem with arduino resetting while using motors randomly. Seems to be related to power, as testing motors with stronger outputs makes resets faster. The DC motors specs are rated a bit differently at:
4WD Mobile platform Motors: 3-12V DC
And directly on Motor Page: Operating voltage range: 3~7.5V
How much is the Romeo motor driver outputting to motors? Is the 7.4v LiPo too much?
If not, how could I pinpoint the problem?
Thanks for any advise.
EDIT:
- I Tried with different battery and straight from lipo charger DC 8.5v -> Same problems occur
- when looping basic motor test with 0 to 250 it usually resets around 90-100 or gets stuck running motors
- 5 x AA Alkaline battery pack does the same
- There is no sensors/servos connected to Romeo
- PS is connected to M_VIN

Its very possible to be the motor starting current is too large, which caused the chip to restart. I suggest that you can plug a USB and an external power supply at same time, if the problem is same, maybe the board is defective, otherwise, it should be the power supply is not enough.
Looking forward to your reply.
