Bluno M3 Micro Controller

Good Day,
I see this warning on the bluno M3 wiki
"The STM32 is a 3.3V processor. Do NOT use any 5V sensor/module with it in case of burning it!"
Is it OK to power the Bluno M3 using a 5v wire from a motor controller to the 5v pin on the bluno m3 ?
Thanks
Tom

Yes, you can. When you connect 5V to the 5V pin on the Bluno M3, the IO port still output 3.3V.
