Touchscreen overlay not working

Hey guys, I have a LattePanda up and running with a keyboard and mouse, and the standard display. I had to wait for the touchscreen overlay to come in, and when it finally arrived I installed it, connected the ribbon cable and... nothing.
The USB keyboard and mouse still work, but no touchscreen. I tried rebooting with no keyboard or mouse, thinking maybe they were conflicting but still nothing. I looked around in the manuals and on the LattePanda website but cannot find anything about any drivers that need to be loaded or any settings that need to be changed for the touchscreen overlay. Am I missing something here? Or did I get a bad touchscreen overlay?

2018-05-24 10:57:18 I have two touchscreen overlay's with exactly the same problem. Ordered the LattePanda, screen and touch overlay. First Panda doesn't work with either display. Second panda works with both screens, but calibration for right side of screen is always off.
I suspect they have not figured this out yet! Not sure I can recommend the product at all. Getting help from them is slow and takes many emails to get past my perceived language/cultural barrier.

2017-01-16 15:29:41 I found the Windows Touchscreen calibration utility. I cannot calibrate the right hand side of the screen. The left side clicks just fine, however the right side has no response at all from my finger. I think I will require an RMA from you.

I was in the process of downloading the complete operating system and was going to reinstall it, as another post said that was what worked for them. While doing this, I crashed the lattePanda, and ended up restarting it a couple times. Suddenly the touchscreen is working! I never loaded any drivers or re-installed the system. The Goodix drivers show no issues in the device manager at this point - I did not get a chance to look before the crash when things weren't working though, so I can't say for sure if there was ever a problem there or not.
There is, however, another problem now though. If I touch near the left side of the screen, the touch position is reasonably accurate - however as I move towards the right side of the screen, things start getting way off. If I touch at the far right of the screen, my touch position is off by almost 1/2" on the screen. With such a small screen, this is unacceptable! Is there any configuration utility for the touchscreen? I couldn't readily find one under Windows, but maybe I'm not looking in the right area.
