How to turn off the fan? when the system is OFF?

Hello,
I bought the KIT, that included the 5V fan.
when system is powered off the fan still keeps working.
this is so annoying as the fan is very noisy I can't sleep in the room!
have to physically take off the power plug to turn off the fan.
and there is way to reduce the speed of the fan? I saw the scheme of the lattepanda all pins are 5V.
looking forward for your response.

Sorry, maybe you can try to contact this two email: [email protected] [email protected] for further query. Copy this link to them and a video would be better. A replacement I think it will be a good solution.

Yes I am sure, the black fan.
I tired to contact them by email twice, nobody response...
feels like a waste of time to me, I am very unhappy with my purchase.
anyway, can you teach me how I do it? with andurio port to make it stop working when the system is off.
I am pretty new at this all, help much appreciated!
Thank you very much for your response.

Thank you for the response. I reccived this fan: https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1520.html it has around 28-30db, checked with an application on the phone, I actually can hear the noisy of the airflow even at the kitchen.
I would like to know how to turn it off when the system on "SLEEP MODE" or when I shut it down, as the can remains working even when the system is off, any idea?

2017-03-07 03:00:58 What kind of fan you received? It has more airflow, so it has more efficient to cooling the LP, but at the same time noisy level is up to 30 dB(A). And if you want to reduce the speed of the fan. you can add a 20 ohms resistance in series of the fan.
And would you mind give some pictures about the fan?
