SIM7600CE-T - Unable to Connect to Network

Hi,

I am a new user and I need a little guidance. I just purchased the SIM7600CE-T. Right out of the box, it would not connect to the network. I am using a Speedtalk GSM SIM card (that I had verified on a SIM900 Arduino sheild to be activated) and turned the SIM7600 on but the 'net' light stays solid. I gave it more that 5 minutes and reset it multiple times. Any troubleshooting tips? I understood it to work directly out of the box.

Thanks,
Derek
2020-06-12 03:53:29 ... now, i have the shield mounted to the Arduino Uno with each powered by USB and the Net light still stays solid (i.e. it never connects to the network) userHeadPic robinder14
2020-06-12 00:55:10 further, i have tried steps 1-4 from this wiki page: https://wiki.dfrobot.com/SIM7600CE-T_4G ... 4#target_1 userHeadPic robinder14
2020-06-12 00:49:49 thank you for the quick reply.

First, i connected the Shield (only) using a USB - the net light turns on solid but never connects to the network.

Second, i connected the Shield to an Arduino Uno with a 5V, 3A power supply. In this case, i get 3 quick blinks from the Shield then no lights and the net light never lights up (note: my Arduino sketch is empty at this step). My order from Mouser did not include a power supply - is there a recommended one?

thanks
