Motor shields - how do I use them?
Hey guys,
I am REALLY new to all of this and am building my first device. I've purchased 4 DC motors and an Arduino UNO board and am ready to start building this thing. However upon further research, apparently I need a motor shield?
What is this thing, is this just another type of Arduino board?
Does this mean I wasted my money buying an arduino UNO?
Thanks in advance guys!

2020-12-19 02:49:51 You may be talking about the Arduino motor drive expansion board. This expansion board can convert the I2C signal into the PWM signal to drive the motor. Of course, you can also directly use the Arduino UNO digital output interface to output the PWM signal to drive the motor. 347945801
