Manually rotating a stepper motor

Hello,
I have NEMA 23 stepper motors connected to TB6600 motor drivers. I am using a Arduino to control the drivers. Sometimes I manually need to rotate the motors, can this generate back emf and damage my Arduino? Does the optocoupler isolation in the driver take care of the back emf? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi
If the enabled signal is off, and you do not rotate the stepper motor quickly, it won't damage the driver board.
Hope it can help.
