Lattepanda delta 3 auto power on doesn't work sometimes

We have about 100 Lattepanda deltas that we are using in our project. They are enclosed in a machine so we configured the auto power-on feature as per the instructions provided on this GitHub page - https://github.com/LattePandaTeam/LattePanda-Win10-Software/tree/master/BIOS%20for%20LattePanda%20Alpha%26Delta/LattePanda%20Delta/S70GR200%20Delta%20Default%20BIOS

While the auto power-on feature works most of the time, in some cases Lattapanda doesn't start. We have to open the machine and manually press the power button to start it. This is becoming a massive pain and we are now regretting our choice. Lattapanda is powered using the original USB-C power adapter shipped with it.

Does this have anything to do with the RTC battery? If so, how often we should change these? In our project, Lattapandas are running 24/7.

Thank you for any help in advance.

Hi, we are having the same power up issue, where the Delta 3 units will not power up, even with the BIOS setup setup correctly.

Our units use the 12V input. Maybe there a firmware update to correct this?

I tried with a capacitor on the SW signal to simulate the momentary assertion of the SW signal at power up, but it does not work everytime… If you can provide the schematics of the board, I'll be happy to find something that works.

Thanks!

If the machines are in a controlled environment, consider any factors like temperature or humidity that might affect performance. Check https://slope-run.io

1. Copy the right EC files directly to root of the USB drive;2. Plug your USB drive in Delta USB host, boot up the system;3. Press “ESC” and go into the BIOS manu;4. Navigate to Save & Exit. Choose “UEFI: Built-in EFI Shell” in Boot Override and press “Enter”5. Now type dir and press enter. This will list all content on the USB Drive;6. Type in eFuitX64 /u S70GR100-0220-A.bin /faildelay and press enter.(You can also use “Tab” key to fast choose the right file) .

Now restarts, it will work normally
