BMI160 example sketch

I'm using Arduino IDE1.06 DF     and when I try to compile the example accelGyro sketch I get the INT8_C error below. I looked in the  Robot_BMI160 hex file and tried changing the INT8_C definitions to just int but this just gave more errors. Im sure there is a simple solution and any help would be very welcome.
