Hi

Can I connect a battery directly to the following boards:

https://www.dfrobot.com/product-1798.html

https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2566.html

I saw 2 threads with similar topics:

https://www.dfrobot.com/forum/topic/320276

https://www.dfrobot.com/forum/topic/316826

But neither says if this is supported and more importantly, how to actually connect them? I was thinking of soldering something like https://bc-robotics.com/shop/jst-ph-2-pin-cable-male-conenctor/ on to the board to then connect it to the JST PH connector on LiPo batteries, but where to connect the connector? Which pins should I use on either board for the red and black wires on the connector?

Hi,

You can solder the two wires from the battery to the BAT and GND of the ESP32-C3. There is a TP4057 lithium battery charging management chip on the ESP32-C3. You can charge the battery via the ESP32-C3's USB.

You can solder the two wires from the battery to the VIN and GND of the Beetle ESP32. The Beetle ESP32 cannot charge the battery.
