I am a bit new to this, so I hope this isn't too basic but I could not find a direct way to install the encoder library into the Bela IDE.
I'm really not sure how to approach trying to make this work without the library in Bela IDE. Any input would be really appreciated.

Unfortunately, there is no Bela-compatible library. This is an I2C module, you can refer to the underlying code in the library to rewrite it.
