URM14-RS485 Connect problems help

I have no understanding of equipment.
I bought the urm14-rs485 product.
I am trying to communicate with the PC by connecting USB to 485.
There is no response even when communicating using modbus rtu.
When I looked at the wiki, it connected to Arduino and ran a setup loop.
I would like to know if the product cannot be used without an Arduino board.

This sensor could work without the Arduino board.
But please note that you need to power it with 7-15V for it to work properly.And the RS485 connection should be A-A, B-B.Also, please share your data frame with us so we can see if you are missing anything
