L298n Motor Driver Breakout 5V Pins

Hi,

I recently bought L298n motor driver breakout from another supplier (Digikey) .This one : https://www.dfrobot.com/product-66.html

In the wiki and the schematics the version 1.3 was shown however, the one I have is version 1.4.

In this one, there are two additional pins in this one underneath MOTOR and ENABLE for each motor. But it is not available on the 1.3 version as I see. And of course, hookup examples do not include those pins. Can anyone help me with how I should use those pins? Or the schematics for this version is available somewhere? I tried to hook them up to 5V and when I did hook one of them, I am seeing some action. But when I do hook both, nothing happens. 

Btw, I am using this driver now to drive peltier cells with up to rated 2A draw. I chose this one to reverse the polarity of the peltiers easily because of the H-bridges.
