dfplayer high power usage
Hi, I read a lot of articles which describes that in standby the Dfplayer still has a high power usage.
MY questions:
- why the module contains an Class AB amplifier, why not a CLASS D? The price difference is minimal, but the power saving is hugh. The shutdown is available on both, and puts the power usage of the amp into the uA level. But what is the power usage of the decoder IC in standby? Is it able to go down into this uA level, or still eats >10mA?
i have a cheap mp3 player device which eats 43uA in standby (not a dfplayer) and can come back from standby if the VCC goes up 3.2V and able to continue the playing from the point where it was. (so it is a real standby, not a shutdown.)
so still the question, what is the standby current of the decoder IC?
Thanks,
Szabolcs
