Libraries:

DFRobot_SIM-master

DFRobot_SIM7000-master

Using an Arduino Uno R3 with a SIM7000E Shield

I installed the device, make sure the switch is on TX → D8 and Rx→ D7, the examples given worked once then the device would not work on the sim7000.turnON() command which always resulted in a failure.

Cannot figure out the problem think it might be a faulty board and cant find a place to reset the firmware.

Before determining that the SIM7000E is a hardware/firmware error, can you follow the problem troubleshooting process below to make sure that nothing tiny is missed?

Check if the external power supply 7~12V, through the DC2.1 barrel jack, or through the VIN,GND pin on the SIM7000E expansion board.

Check if two antennas are installed.

Check the dip switches TX>D8,RX>D7 on the expansion board

Check if the red power indicator on the expansion board is always on and the net indicator is blinking

Check if the SIM card is installed normally. If SIM card and card solt are in good contact. After checking, press the boot button to reboot and see if it works.
