Failing to open port with CH432T HAT on Raspberry Pi

I'm using the CH432T RS485 Expansion HAT for Raspberry Pi and I'm having trouble getting it to communicate. I've followed the guide, turned on SPI, but it still says it can't open the port. What am I missing?
