DFPlayer Pro AT+SAVE doesn't work

I've been trying to change the playmode on my DFPlayer Pro with the AT commands.

When I change the playmode I get the OK response but it doesn't save the change when it's powered off. I have tried using the AT+SAVE command after I change the playmode but I don't get the OK response and the setting change doesn't save.

Any suggestions?
