BME680 SEN0248 disable LED

The Gravity BME680, sensor model SEN0248, has a red LED which is always on when the board is powered on however I'd like to disable it in order to conserve battery power as well as it is a problem to have any lights on in the environment the sensor is in.

Is there a way to disable the LED without affecting the performance of the sensor?
