How to use I2C commands for the TCS34725 RGB full-color color recognition senso

We wish to use the TCS34725 RGB full-color color recognition sensor. We are testing it with makecode but we would like to use it directly with MicroPython. We are using the Micro:bit board. 

Can you provide us with instructions on how to control the TCS34725 via the I2C bus? Some documentation on the commands? Examples of programming?"
