Proper way to use YF-S401 with a Raspberry pi

Hello everyone!

I'd like to know if anyone has had experience with the YF-S401 water flow sensor - the one with a 1/8" connection, not 1/2" - connected on a Raspberry pi. My main question is whether this sensor can be connected directly to one of the GPIO pins on the RPI, or if I'll need something like ADS1115 to convert an analog signal to digital.
