ESP32_E DFR0654 Battery Charging Circuit and Deep Sleep

Please can you tell me if the ESP32-E board's (DFR0654) built in battery charging circuit remains active whilst the device is in deep sleep?

I plan to add a Lipo battery to the PH2 connector and a solar panel (to the usb), but it will only be of use if the battery can charge whilst the ESP32-E is in deep sleep.
