Connecting sen0598 to raspberry pi not working

Hi,

I'm trying to connect SEN0598 to my RPI3. I power the sensor directly with the 5V of the RPI and connect the tx to rx on the pi and vice versa. Now when I'm in the terminal trying to detect the sensor first I'm getting no result. I checked all my ports with these commandos but still no result.

ls -l /dev/serial*
ls -l /dev/tty*

I've also disabled bluetooth on my RPI and UART is enabled so I'm kind off stuck on this for a while now and was hoping somebody could help me.
