Also I have another question regarding the IO shield. Can you use the xbee unit and a bluetooth module at the same time? The one in the link below in particular.

The I/O shield does have two methods of connecting a bluetooth module, unfortunately they use the same serial port.

If you absolutely need to have two bluetooth modules you could try connecting them to a DFRduino MEGA, with out the expansion shield. It comes with 3 serial ports.

2011-05-17 00:32:41 Hi Rudy,

The blinking is normal operation. The jumpers should stay to the right.

You can try the example and example code from the following link to see if your xbee is working with our shield. It requires two Xbee's and a usb to xbee or a second arduino.

If you are using windows I recommend using PuTTY as a serial monitor. Just configure it for serial communication and the appropriate com and speed setting. You should first make sure your xbee modules are set to the correct speed.

2011-05-13 18:12:27 Hi
I also have a question regarding this shield. I have purchased a xbee 1mW wire atenna and I am trying to use it on this shield. When I connect it to the shield though, the red light right beneath the xbee flashes continuously. I have not been able to send any information to this xbee module from my computer at all.

I have had a look at the documentation for the shield, but can seem to find any information. Does one of the jumpers selection have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advance.
Rudy.
