What Bluettooth devices can discover and connect with a BBC Micro Bit

At first I tried the HC-06 but then released this unit is not BLE.
I then tried a HM-10 BLE Bluetooth 4.0 CC2540 CC2541 unit but this too fails to discover the MicroBit.
It is a clone unit though so unsure if an original JNHuaMao Technology device will work.
I was looking at the Beetle BLE and Bluno Nano here and wonder if they will work with the MIcroBit.
I only seem to be able to discover the MicroBit with my mobile phone.
I want to build a project so that a stand alone BBC Micro:Bit can send bluetooth data to an Arduino based unit.
