Romeo mini connection issues

Hello. i have a brand new romeo mini and it is not recoginzed by three different computers (win 7, win 10, mac) I own other arduino uno boards that show up on these machines, com 3, no problem, but your Romeo Mini does not show up at alll. I have also attempted to update the firmware, thinking that was an issue, but the firmware will not load if the board is not detected by the ports.

please help.
