DRI0009 Motor shield speed

Hello !
I am using the motor shield with the arduino UNO and with a bi-polar motor.
I am using the script provided on this site :http://mendesmodelrailroad.blogspot.com/2011/09/bipolar-stepper-motors-making-them-work.html
It works but I cannot controle the speed of the motor (changing delay creates lots of vibrations). Is there a way to make the speed of the stepper variates and also to use microsteps (http://www.ladyada.net/make/mshield/use.html)

2012-06-02 01:06:23 Hi,
I haven't had a chance to play with this shield using a stepper motor. I think your performance may vary depending on the stepper motor you use, not all stepper motors are created equal. Also, another problem you could be having might be due to insufficient power to the motor.
I will try to play with a stepper motor and this shield and report my findings.
