DFRduino Mega hangs on upload if pin 38 is used

I have a strange problem with my DFRduino Mega (H20882A0).
If I connect a wire to pin 38 without attaching it to anything and try to upload a new sketch, the upload process will hang, requiring me to kill avrdude.exe and try again. If this pin remains unconnected or connected via wire to GND, everything is fine.
Could you tell me what may cause such a problem?

2012-06-13 19:23:39 I've tried a few times with 2 different MEGAs and I can't replicate your error. Is it still happening or did it just happen on occasion? Hector

Could you please try to upload code multiple times when a wire is inserted into pin 38, since I remember it wasn't always the first time when the hang occurred. 1nvisible

That sounds like you might have something wrong with your MEGA, no one esle has reported this kind of problem, and we are unable to replicate the problem here.
Are you able to upload a new program to the board with nothing connected to it?

is the MEGA a 1280 or a 2560?
Also, is it one of the newer MEGA versions with the colored pin headers or an all black MEGA?
