arduino soil moisture sensor to measure Electrical soil conductivity

Hello, I'd like to have your feedback about the feasibility of the following idea:
could the DFR arduino soil moisture sensor USED to measure Electrical soil conductivity ALSO?
As matter of fact I read that its working principle is measuring the resistivity between its electrodes, so by finding the proper formula may be possible to measure the soil conductivity...

The schematics for all of our products are provided in the product page.

thanks for reply
do you have available the sensor schematic?
I'd like to check it out to see if with some slight modification I can get this goal

I'm not sure how to answer your question. But here is a link that might give you a better idea:

It sounds like it might be possible, but the soil should be wet in order for it to work.
