SPI on Romeo all-in-one V1 vs. V1.1

Hi,

I am trying to get a nrf24L01 network up and running.
The nrf24L01 works fine on the romeo all-in-one V1 but not on the V1.1.

Details you can find here:

Is there any difference between the V1 and the V1.1 in respect to SPI?

Thanks
Robert
2012-11-27 01:53:04 No. I only have the nrf24L01. And for my next two projects I don't need any other SPI device ;-)

Hey Lauren,

thanks for testing. I don't think that the board works with one SPI device but not with the other.
I expect my board to be defect then.

Unfortunately the second one.

Do you have the other SPI devices in hand? Maybe a SPI IMU sensor or a SD card module(a cheap solution ;))? You could try it with your SPI devices.

2012-11-23 09:20:19 Hi Robert,

I just tested it on my Arduino Wifi shield, which use the SPI interfact. And it works fine. I can scan the network properly.....

So it's not compatible with different SPI devices? ???
Really strange....

2012-11-23 04:44:17 Hi,

no, didn't find a reason. I bought a Arduino Nano - no problem.

On the Uno all pins work fine as in/out pins. Not sure how to further test the V1.1 version.
Can you test a V1.1 all-in-one with a SPI device? At least I don't have a second one to exclude a hardware failure. :-)

2012-11-22 23:47:00 Hi robvoi,

What about your testing? Do you figure out the reason why the romeo v1.1 can't work with nrf24L01?

2012-11-14 05:20:50 I don't have an UNO board to test it with. I'll receive a DF-Nano tomorrow and will test it with it.
Not that the results would explain something ...

Still it is strange. I have no other problems with the board. So I don't think it is defect.

2012-11-14 04:47:35 Hi robvoi,

Considering that the main difference between Romeo 1.0 and 1.1 is the bootloader. Any other hardware modification won't cause a big difference. So... Could you try to test it on a standard Uno board to eliminate this possibility?
