Cant connect Android with Bluno

userHead sbusso 2014-01-06 20:49:17 12622 Views29 Replies
Just bough Bluno with Accessory Shield to try to Android ADK but no luck. From a Galaxy S4 with Android 4.3 i have tried too much to connect without success. The Application see the BLE device, try to connect (connecting) and nothing. Documentation and example are almost inexistant, it s very hard and the only sketch it s quite a mess to read. Sketch has been uploaded.

Also I see v1.4 stamp on Bluno when documentation show BLE v1.6, but not download available. Also it s brand new Bluno received 2 days ago...

(PS even logged in and modifying a previous post requesting 3 security verification is overkilled)
2014-03-15 09:20:14 Hi Grey,

My Note 3 has Android version 4.3. What happens when I try to connect is the 'link' led is on, and it just stays on until I unplug the power (The reset button seems not to work this case )

2014-03-14 13:47:32 Hello,

I just bought a Bluno V1.6 a few days ago, and I experienced the same problem. I installed the APK app on my Note 3, and it can see the Bluno, but cannot connect (it shows 'connecting' for a few seconds, then stops). I tried to replace the original firmware 1.6 ( Date modified is 01/16/2014) by the firmware 1.6 downloaded from https://www.dfrobot.com/wiki/index.php/Bluno_SKU:DFR0267. The result is the same, even I tried with firmware 1.4. What can I do to resolve this problem? Thank you

By the way, another strange thing is I cannot install the original firmware that I backed up before.

2014-01-11 06:20:26 Hi there,
first of all, I am sorry for my bad English. I played a little bit with the Bluno and had no problems to connect it with an iPhone and Firmware 1.4 and 1.6. I used it in combination with the accessory shield 1.0. Unfortuneatly I have no Android phone for testing therefore I used am PC with BLE dongle and was also able to get paired with it.
So, generell functionality should be there. I was also able to connect it with an Dell XPS 10 (Windows RT 8.1) via "0000" as passcode.

Perhaps this might help you.

I've upgraded the firmware on my BLUNO, but  can't get the android APK file to install. The android install complains about it being 'corrupt'

2014-01-07 01:34:54 Hello sbusso?
I am sorry. Please take it easy.
We find it is because that the bottom Bluetooth document of samsung Galaxy series are not compatible.
And we are making efforts on it now.
