Bluno boot failure

Hi, I just purchased a Bluno, and started having a play with it. Could load a few sketches OK. Tried to connect to a USB bluetooth dongle (which I have since found out is not possible in SPP mode :'( ).
Updated the bluetooth firmware to 1.9.2 OK.
Put it in HID mode via AT commands and now nothing works. The bluetooth lights do not come on and it does not spawn a com port under windows.
I tried reflashing the bootloader using a genuine UNO as ISP. Indicated it was sucessfull but it still doesnt work.
Holding down he boot button does not make the bluetooth lights flash.
Any ideas on how to recover this device?
Thanks

2014-12-24 05:09:53 Hello Andrew,
I am afraid that the dongle doesn't support Bluno device now. It has a special communicating protocol, and it requires Bluetooth 4.0.
You could check our BLE Link to receive/transmit the data. Actually it will come a special dongle. :D
