Flashing alternate BLE Firmware for CC2540 Chip

Hi,

I am working on a project where I am trying to work with a Myo armband which has it's own version of CC2541 Bluetooth firmware (https://github.com/vroland/MyoBridge) with a Bluno beetle. I have tried using the BlunoFWDownload tool to flash the .bin file provided in the github link above with no success. Has anyone had any luck flashing a custom Bluetooth firmware onto the CC2540 with any success? Any suggestions for how to go about this? Next step I was going to try was to take a soldering iron to the pins and reflash using the CCLoader by RedBearLabs (https://github.com/RedBearLab/CCLoader) but I'm a little worried I might brick it. A solution using the BlunoFWDownload tool would be ideal obviously!
