How Robots Save Easter

DFRobot Jun 17 2013 447

In this video a Parrot AR.Drone locates jellybean eggs that the Easter bunny has dropped out of its basket so a KUKA youBot can pick them up and return them to a crying Roboy.

The KUKA youBot and the Parrot AR.Drone are helping the Easter bunny to save Easter for Roboy. The drone follows the youBot while hovering above it and commanding it to the next egg.

Most important, all movements are performed autonomously, with no user interaction: egg localization and autonomous grasping are based on aerial view only. And the idea of using the AR Drone to spot for the youBot is pretty brilliant.

This video is made by the Robotics and Perception Group in the AI Lab( Artificial Intelligence Lab) at the University of Zurich which was funded in 2012, they are studying the development of autonomous robots by making seasonal videos.
