Raspberry Pi 5: Next-Level CPU Performance and Enhanced Interfaces Revealed!

DFRobot Sep 28 2023 8771

Introduction:

The Raspberry Pi 5 single-board computer (SBC) builds upon the extraordinary success of its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 4. In comparison to the previous generation, its CPU performance has been enhanced by 2-3 times, with a significant improvement in GPU performance. Additionally, there have been advancements in the camera, display, and USB interfaces.

These interface improvements have been achieved through the implementation of the RP1 I/O controller chip, designed internally for the Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi team is introducing Raspberry Pi silicon for the first time in our flagship product!
