Can the Alpha be used as a mobile phone?

Is it possible to make the LattePanda Alpha work as a mobile phone/smart phone? I don't have any hard/software skills so I'm hoping it would be plug and play. Would be cool to have a "mobile phone" that I can drop into a "laptop" (basically just a keyboard/trackpad/display/battery to use a bigger screen and keyboard with the same device. I see it has no SIM card slot but maybe one can be attached? IDK.
