Beetle - Doesn't start sketch when powered up

I'm developing a sketch on the beetle and everything works fine.
The only issue I encounter is that the beetle doesn't start the sketch on power up.
I have to upload the sketch via USB every time after disconnecting it from power-supply and then everything works fine.
For my project I have over a dozen of them and the few I tested have all the same reaction.
How do you power-up the beetle to have it starting the sketch without uploading it every time?
