SEN0291 connection

i have a SEN0291 current problem. I have in my posession a 6volt 0.3 ampere solar panel a solar power manager DFR0559 and battery 3.7 volts connected in the DFR0559 and i am trying to get power readings from the sensor via and arduino. Although i can get voltage readings, my current readings are negative or zero. I am following the connection diagram shown in the SEN0291 for the solar panel measurements. (I have tried to measure power with the SEN0291 from a 220 ohm resistance with a battery of 3.5 volts and all the readings where accurate.) Any help would be great.

then i need to either change the cables between in- and in+ or put a diode in the solar panel to ensure the current flow?
