Bluno Mega 2560 and Gravity IO Sensor Shield Power

Can someone tell me if I apply power to the Gravity IO Sensor Shield (screw terminals) will that power the Bluno? Or is it strictly for driving the I/O power of the Gravity Sensor? What is the power limits for the Gravity IO Sensor power input (screw terminals)?
