DO SENSOR CALIBRATION

I am trying to calibrate my DO sensor, I am using ATMEGA. The code is compiled and uploaded and the incomming values are stablized to some extent (may change like after 20 readings). Then I enter my calibration mode, and then enter SATCAL. (I used pump for 20 mins to get a saturated solution).
The SATCAL command keep reading values for very very long time. I tried restarting the board but still same problem. Can you please help me solve this ?
Also usually how long does SATCAL takes to calibrate ?
And I am not using a Temperature sensor, I am using using the default temperature, does this affect any thing ?
