Hi, I just started using a firebeetle esp32 and searched in this forum for information how to read the level of a attached battery. I didn't understand correctly: is it necessary to solder something on the board and/or build a circuit or is it possible to directly measure battery level with code?

Since the relationship between battery voltage and remaining capacity is not linear, it is recommended to use a fuel gauge to measure battery capacity.
